Parents, please check your student's water bottle. Some paracord handles with a compass on the clasp may contain a hidden blade. These were sold locally during back-to-school season and many families are not aware of the blade. These water bottles were designed with camping and survival in mind.
Although this blade is small, it is still not allowed on campus. Please remove any paracord handle that has a compass clasp with a blade. Regular paracord handles without a blade are still allowed.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!

The federal government recognizes that districts like Okaloosa County face added economic pressure because real property (land) in this area has been purchased for use by the military. This means that the county government loses the property tax revenue that it might otherwise have earned if the federal government had not acquired the property. Compensation for this loss, known as Impact Aid, is paid to Okaloosa school district for the "substantial and continuing financial burden" that results from federal activities. LJPS receives a portion of this money.

If you have not made your donation for your grade level’s PATHS Basket Auction for Open House, it is not too late! Please send in your item or contribution as soon as possible.
Every little bit helps, and together we can make this auction a huge success! Thank you for your support and school spirit! 💙🦁❤️

In honor of Patriot Day on Thursday, September 11, all LJPS students and staff may wear a red, white, or blue shirt with their uniform bottoms.
Let’s come together to show our pride and remembrance!

Today (Monday, September 8th) every student will bring home their Federal Impact Card (FIC). Please ask your student for this card today.
Here’s why this matters: The federal government recognizes that districts like Okaloosa County face added economic pressure because real property (land) in this area has been purchased for use by the military. This means that the county government loses the property tax revenue that it might otherwise have earned if the federal government had not acquired the property. Compensation for this loss, known as Impact Aid, is paid to the Okaloosa school district for the "substantial and continuing financial burden" that results from federal activities. LJPS receives a portion of this money.
This money supports classrooms, teachers, and students across the district.
Please take a few minutes to complete and return the FIC promptly. Your participation makes a real difference for our school community!
✅ Read all of the directions carefully.
✅ Complete all of the appropirate sections completly.
✅ Be sure to sign and date the card at the bottom.
