We all loved Ms. Green. Please leave a sweet thought, prayer or memory of Ms. Green below to honor her.

Obituary: Phyllis Ann Green, cherished wife, mother, co-worker and friend, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the age of 61. A resident of Crestview, Fla., Phyllis was born in Middletown, N.Y., and grew up on a horse ranch in South Dakota. She served as the Middle School Vice Principal at Liza Jackson Preparatory School. Phyllis earned her master's degree at Florida State University, was teacher-in-residence at Vanderbilt University, and was a member of the North American International Baccalaureate assessment team on middle school credential-ing.
More than this, Phyllis was a teacher, and like all teachers loved her kids and her work. She began in 1980 at Plew Elementary, where she would eventually teach second, third, fourth and sixth grades before moving to Ruckel Middle School in 1988, where she taught eighth grade science. After that, she began her dream job at Liza Jackson Preparatory School.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Terry Green, daughters Laura and Jenna Stewart, son Chad Stewart, daughter Tiffany Green-Hytrek, son-in-law Tim Hytrek, and grandsons Blaise and Grant Hytrek. She is also survived by her cherished Australian Shepherds Holly, Jake and Kota.
A memorial service will be held on Jan. 2, 2013, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. The service will begin at 1 p.m., with visitation beginning at noon. The address of Emerald Coast Funeral home is 113 Racetrack Rd NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547.
